Locally, United Way of Northwest Michigan convenes the Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP) Local Board and facilitates this process for Antrim, Kalkaska, Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties. Local members are critical to convening this process. In 2015, more than $40,000 was granted to agencies and programs serving individuals and families in crisis. Local food pantries and shelters provide access to basic needs so our neighbors can focus on what’s really important – getting back on their feet.

The funding for Phase 33 has been allocated locally and United Way of Northwest Michigan will continue our decades long commitment to securing valuable grant dollars to address food security.
