UNITED WAY ANNOUNCES DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT BAILEY NUSS
United Way of Northwest Michigan (UWNWMI) announces Bailey Nuss as their new Director of Volunteer Engagement. This newly created position serves to drive volunteerism, one of United Way’s three areas of impact including charitable donations, volunteerism and advocacy. Nuss started at UWNWMI as an AmeriCorps VISTA in 2020, and most recently served as the Northwest Region Impact Director.
“The pandemic drastically changed the face of volunteerism in our community. But this is a great time for us as a community to redefine it. I am excited to see how we can make giving back and civic engagement even more inclusive to everyone in our community,” said Nuss.
Nuss will be spearheading a 10-week community volunteerism campaign called “Summer of Service.” Visit www.unitedwaynwmi.org for more information on the project and other upcoming volunteer opportunities.
“Bailey has a deep passion for giving back to the community and bringing others along with her,” said Seth Johnson, Executive Director of United Way of Northwest Michigan. “Her support of United Way’s goals will continue building a stronger community. We hope you can join us for Summer of Service and more.”
Nuss is also currently involved locally with Zonta that focuses on advocacy, and with Impact100 Traverse City where she is serving on their Family Grant committee. She also recently served as an appointee to the Michigan Governor’s Michigan Parents’ Council.
